This is just a small sampling of the good stuff happening for dogs, thanks to New Hope Dog Rescue in Saskatoon.
New Hope is a registered Canadian charitable organization run almost completely by volunteers based in Saskatoon, SK dedicated to rescuing unwanted, stray, abandoned, neglected and abused dogs. All of the dogs rescued by New Hope are placed in foster care homes until a permanent home can be found.

Arwen (left), resting in her foster home, after undergoing 6 tedious hours of leg surgery to repair damage from an old bullet wound from her time as a stray. We hope with a little tlc and some rehab that Arwen will be feeling better soon. This girl truly deserves it!

Quill, a recent addition to the new hope family. This little guy was found as a stray in a northern community and appeared to have an injury to his leg. We quickly learned, after having him seen by one of our vets, that Quill had been shot (see the white object – bullet – in the left X-ray) and also has a fracture of his foot. Quill is now wearing a splint to help stabilize the fracture, and we hope to get him on the mend and feeling better as soon as possible.
And they have a Low Income Spay / Neuter Program! The good work by these people never ends!
