At Animal Alliance / Saving Dinah, we believe there is no excuse to buy animals from pet stores and breeders while so many are in shelters and with rescue groups waiting for loving homes.
So we were particularly saddened on Monday when the CBC reported that the Manitoba NDPs quietly suspended the licensing requirement for dog breeders. Groups like Manitoba Small Dog Rescue Inc (MSDR) are going to be swamped. These kind people have already taken in 17 dogs from one breeder alone. So they need our help!
Manitoba Small Dog Rescue Inc. is a non-profit animal rescue founded in 2012. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to rehoming small breed dogs. We do not have an animal shelter building…. we rely strictly on foster homes. We are funded solely by charitable donations and fees collected from adoptions. All the monies we collect goes directly to the care and medical needs of the animals we rescue.
